HelloFresh is on the hunt for a performance-oriented and consumer-centric Head of Brand to lead our Brand team and support in maximizing the value of its core functions: Brand Strategy, PR, Content, Social Media, Brand Campaign Management, Product Marketing Campaigns, and Creative Services (design and copy-writing)

In this challenging role you are responsible for continuing building brand saliency and visibility in our countries which we manage out of our office in Amsterdam: The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. You will be managing an international team with campaign managers, designers, content specialists and community managers, a team of about fifteen (jr) professionals. Strategic brand planning is important, as well as ‘safeguarding’ our HelloFresh brand, by being on top of consistently carrying out the HelloFresh message on all communication levels and in everything we do.

We are looking for an expert that can drive our strategic brand plans, has a hands-on approach, and possesses the ability to lead an international team. You are part of the Senior Leadership team, together with our other heads of departments. You will report directly to our CMO for the Benelux and our Global Senior Vice President Brand.

More Specifically

  • You and your team will be responsible for developing and delivering the yearly performance-driven Brand Plan, ensuring our value proposition is clearly defined and compelling to support customer acquisition, retention and loyalty both online and offline
  • You will partner with cross-team stakeholders to ensure HelloFresh’s acquisition efforts perform more effectively and develop tactics to increase customer retention and lifetime value.
  • You will lead the development of local Brand Plan together with local Brand function owners (Comms, PR, Community, Content & Design) and align it with our overall business strategy
  • You will work closely with our Global Brand team on Global-led brand initiatives that roll-out to all HelloFresh countries, making sure that these are optimized to achieve Benelux brand goals
  • You will support and mentor the Brand team throughout the execution of the Brand Plan
  • You will work closely with our Business Intelligence team as they develop a solid understanding of our customer segments
  • You will ensure that all brand assets drive a consistent brand experience across the marketing mix. Within these efforts, you’ll lead on making sure the team develops a creative testing approach whenever possible, supporting the development of creative hypothesis, following-up on test implementation and test results
  • You will work with your team to report on Brand performance against the different initiatives of Brand Plan and Brand Quarterly Priorities
  • You will support your team in analyzing each brand function’s KPI development, and in their growth as data-driven marketers
  • You will be responsible for the career development of all your direct reports within the team
  • You will liaise with Local / Global business stakeholders to support them on initiatives with brand impact, together with the Brand team
  • You will be managing the team by focussing on training & development, team building, coaching & mentoring, managing performance and inspires direct reports by being a sparring partner.

Are you the perfect Head Of Brand?
For this position, we are looking for a person who:

  • Has at minimum a master degree
  • Has 6-10 years relevant work experience
  • Has a minimum of 6 years leadership experience
  • Is a performance-driven and goal-oriented professional with mix experience in Brand, Marcomms, PR & Communications, Product Marketing, Brand Campaign;
  • Is an advocate for the power & value of Brand Marketing – be confident at communicating to the wider business the impact of Brand Marketing, within a data-driven and tech-focused culture
  • Has a strong left & right brain - known for creativity but also for rigorous testing, measurement, and iteration to improve results continuously
  • Understands how to leverage consumer and customer insights as a springboard of creativity to unlock further growth
  • Has preferably a background in an FMCG and / or a B2C Ecommerce company, in a fast-paced and extremely competitive environment
  • Is a skilled stakeholder manager with strong business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Is self-motivated and proactive, possess an ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Has experience working in cross-border teams or in an international environment
  • Is passionate about food and cooking
  • Is fluent in English – and must be a native speaker in either Dutch or French.
